The French electronic movement continues its ardent spread with the exciting announcement of LIFELIKE’s new track, “Don’t Stop” featuring A-Trak, which will be officially released on November 26th. Fortunately, this stimulating single can be previewed now through a galvanizing new minimix. The funky nu-disco track has a compellingly feel-good melody, effectively merging classic cosmic disco effects with banging bass and undulating electro-synths. The welcome inclusion of grinding vocals absorbs listeners, creating quite the blissful ambiance, albeit with outstandingly old-school vibes.
Laurent Ash (LIFELIKE) began his musical career in the late 80’s as a bass player in a small high school band, influenced by new-wave sounds like many others during this era. His currently distinct style shares familiarity with Alex Braxe, Midnight Club and Edwin Van Cleef: boisterously soulful, yet always friendly dream-pop. LIFELIKE’s long-awaited debut full album, Future Disco, will include guest appearances by Chromeo & Fred Falke, as well as dance-provoking remixes by Gigamesh, Mauvais Cliche, and The Bloody Sisters.
