The recently Mercury Prize nominated Scottish four-piece band, Django Django are taking the big leap as they come to tour the states. The band hopes to make an equally lasting impression as they’ve done in Europe with their self-titled debut with a busy schedule that includes stops along most major cities like San Francisco, New York, Chicago and notable stations like KEXP, WXRT, and WFUV.
Hear what NPR described as “part surf-rock and part Motown, with elements of blues, cosmic space-pop and Egyptian music, glittery Beach Boys harmonies and tribal rhythms” because what San Franciscan doesn’t want to say they saw a band that “You’ve probably never heard of, but they sound like ‘part surf-rock and part Motown, with elements of blues, cosmic space-pop and Egyptian music, glittery Beach Boys harmonies and tribal rhythms’ says NPR.”
