Kitsune (Maison) has to be one of the better music labels out there purely because of their fervent commitment fun and hip chillout, but also because they believe in elevating their brand to the next level through a combination of music and fashion. The French collective was able to recruit the talents of PLASTiC PLATES, the alias of Syndey-born DJ Felix Bloxsom.
On “Things I Didn’t Know I Loved” he exhibits his impressively complex electronic capabilities in a charming manner that many can appreciate. It is certainly a welcome arrival with the perfect vibes for the end of summer. The vocals from UK-based Simon Lord are somewhat reminiscent of an 80’s club party, while the timeless chorus puts listeners into a comfortable and friendly daze. PLASTiC PLATES’ work has previously appeared on extended mixes from the likes of disco kings Aeroplane (Adele remix), Mustang (Sia remix), and The Magician (Adele and Body Language remixes).
