Keane at Fox Theater [Photo Review]
Keane stopped by The Fox Theater on Saturday, filling the Oakland Auditorium nearly to its capacity.
The crowd was an eclectic one – made up of what seemed like doctors, businessmen, and 40-something mothers and single ladies. Tom Chaplin and his group brought a spirited, lively sound and stage presence to the forefront, as they had the crowd screaming and chanting to hits such as “Somewhere Only We Know,” and “Is It Any Wonder.”
The band’s ability to completely enthrall the crowd with their energy on stage, only added to their well established alternative rock sound that has kept them relevant for nearly 15 years.
Their newest release Strangeland, which was released on May 7th, has been well received by fans and critics alike. The group will find themselves all over the world over the course of the next few months – playing shows in Hungary, Switzerland, Brazil and Mexico, to name a few.
