Grizzly Bear “Sleeping Ute” [SOTD]

Earlier today, NPR released the first single “Sleeping Ute” from Grizzly Bear’s upcoming album that still renames nameless. Edward Droste’s voice sings firmly, while the guitar scales whimsically over loose (almost improvisational) drums that form scattered rhythms. Midway through the track we hit REM sleep, with sudden breaking noises entering, leaving, and interjecting. Basically, this leans towards Animal Collective more than Fleet Foxes.
