[Video] The War on Drugs – ‘Baby Missiles’

Despite my whole deeply flawed “If I don’t like the band name then I won’t listen to the band” strategy, I decided, via a friend’s request, to check out The War on Drugs‘ latest album, Slave Ambient. My August would not have been the same without it. The album is sprawling and seems never to end, which, in its case is a huge plus. Each song touches on some of that rare strain of that late 80s/early 90s indie rock dna (Sonic Youth, MBV) while bringing something new to the stage. Make sure to give ‘Baby Missiles’, as well as the rest of the album, loads of listens. And make sure to check them out on October 23rd when they roll through the Independent. Enjoy!
