The Rumble SF will take over Milk Bar tonight. Tonight’s headliner features Oakland’s Mister Loveless a post-grunge rock band that gained attention with Three Words EP. Also on the bill is The Fling, and James & Evander. The event is free for those that RSVP HERE. Otherwise, it’s $5 at the door. Did we mention PBR specials for all those plaid folks? For a lengthier description of the groups, and sample of their sound see below:
Mister Loveless: The Old Pain
These Oakland locals are brining the Smiths influenced post grunge and have been SF Weekly favorites of ours dating all the way back to 2006. We couldn’t get enough of their Three Words EP last year, with their ability to chaneel Brit post-punk with a modern edge the CMJ called “timeless.”
The Fling: Wandering foot
May’s Rumble touring act, The Fling, are out celebrating the release of their debut full-length, When The Madhouse Appear that came out yesterday on Dangerbird Records. Full of classic rock influences like The Beatles and The Band, they also sound just as contemporary as Band Of Horses or My Morning Jacket.
JAMES & EVANDER
James & Evander: “Constellating”
This analog synth duo have been garnering attention for their layered and infectious melodies and recently incorporated vocals into the mix on their newest, Constellating EP. Equal parts dreamy and alluring, this duo of Adam Myatt and Glenn Jackson are making hypnotic future pop that’s bound to bust of the bay area very soon.
