David Byrne Talks Music and Architecture on TED.com

11/10/2010

David Bryne, the lead singer of Talking Heads, discusses in this lecture for TED.com the development of musical styles and how they paralleled the different venues they were heard. Albeit it’s not all that historically developed, but within twenty minutes Byrne moves from the Renaissance to contemporary radio. He then draws a fascinating comparison to the sounds of birds’ chirping in different locations. What are your thoughts?
